Shambala Festival - A Magical Weekend

Had such a fun & inspiring time at the Shambala Festival. If you haven’t been, I really recommend it. Such a creative and warm atmosphere - with a super diverse range of music from all parts of the planet. A highlight for me was the Zawose Queens, led by Pendo Zawose, the daughter of Hukwe Zawose who I tour managed & co-produced in the late 90s, and who was a big influence on my own music career.

I performed with my new band, the GBRL PRKFV Ensemble on the Sunday, on the Next Stage, which was fitted with an immersive D&B multi-speaker surround sound system - and we made full use of it. Fellow composer Dan Samsa was doing live surround mix, and even from stage we could feel the electronic parts sweeping around the audience.
