Conducting Debut // 15th September
Unexpected news: I’ve finally taken the plunge into the world of orchestral directing… Earlier this year, conductor Mark Stephenson invited me to conduct Peter and the Wolf for a charity concert in aid of Brass for Africa - who are doing remarkable work educating and empowering orphans and young homeless people in Uganda, Rwanda & Liberia. - an opportunity I couldn’t refuse - and also a chance to properly train in orchestral conducting. I’ve had lessons from Mark himself, Kelly Lovelady and my cousin Dexter Drown. The practicing and score preparation has been more enjoyable than I expected - this might just be the beginning…
The concert will take place at Cadogan Hall, featuring actor Hugh Bonneville as narrator, with all proceeds supporting Brass for Africa.
